Catch the Vision

Join in Building for the Next Generation

"Four Million in Three Years"

In order to bring plans to  life for the next phase of the DCMC project, DTHD launched a $4 million  capital campaign to  build a 150 bed hospital to meet some of the specialized needs  of the growing Dodoma area in addition to serving general patients.  Such specialties are meant to complement existing health services   For example the maternal/child death rate is highest in the Dodoma region. DCMC will address complicated OB/GYN and vesco-vaginal fistula repair. The location is positioned to serve both rural and town patients.  The flexible modular plan allows for for 150 beds and is to break ground fall of 2008. DCMC's vision for the hospital is to develop international health care partners for training and exchange opportunities. To learn more or plan a gift contact dthd@dthd.org.

Volunteer Opportunity: Dental Trainer

The Dental Clinic has need for short term dental volunteers to provide training for the DCMC dentists. Dr. Charles Rabemahefa lists the following education priorities: 1)diagnosis, treatment planning and periodontology; 2)operative dentistry including composite veneer, bonding and amalgam, bleaching, and restoration of fractured teeth; and crown and bridge work. Tutoring in dental business for private practice is also a need. Contact dthd@dthd.org for more information.

Contribute to the Dental Clinic

Equipment and Poor Fund

The dental clinic established a sliding fee scale to offset costs of treating those who cannot pay. The program is coordinated with village leaders of two neighboring villages who vouch for those in need.  In addition DTHD helps replenish dental supplies and sends them with those traveling to Tanzania. Please designate your DTHD contribution to the Dental Clinic Fund.

Volunteer Opportunity: Global Health Ministries

Help one of our mission partners. Six Global Health containers have gone to DCMC and have provided for furnishings, medical and dental equipment for the DCMC campus as well as the dispensaries.  GHM depends on hundreds of volunteers to sort and recondition equipment and pack them into containers to ship to many hospital locations overseas.
